Leaving dogs outside in Florida all day
I'm a nanny and I just started with a new family, they are awesome people but I'm struggling with how they treat their dogs. They are loaded and have a huge beautiful house and 2 beautiful huskies. But they keep the dogs outside in the shed and a fenced area where they can run around. The first day i was here i thought it was cute that the dogs had a (huge) dedicated outdoor area, but than i realized the next day that the dogs never come inside...like ever. They leave the dogs outside 24/7 in this Florida heat and out them in the shed over night. Some days they keep them in the shed all day. I feel sick over this. Am i over reacting? Like yes the dogs have a huge free area and a well built decent sized shed, but i feel so bad. They never have human contact. They told me not to let them out of their area and to just leave them alone. They have cameras so i can't go pet them even if i wanted. The dogs seem so friendly....but why on earth get dogs if you never actually have them around? The kids who are 10, 8, 7 and 5 literally forgot they had dogs because they are so closed off 😩😩
