Do you have a joint bank account for ease of paying bills

I’m buying a new home and was wonder how couples manage their finances together. Like does one pay the mortgage and other pays the other bills etc.

We have a joint a split everything... what’s his is mine, and what’s mine is his anyway.

We are married but we don’t have joint accounts. We have one account that we both put money into monthly and bills come out of it. His money is his, my money is mine and it stays separate accept for that one account.

My boyfriend owns our house.. so I just send him money every month for Bill's. We didnt want to go and change all the accounts and names on them. I also buy the food, and pay for the internet and netflix stuff like that and anything else we just buy ourselves or buy for each other.

We’re that odd couple that doesn’t have a joint bank account but it works for us.
He pays: rent, utilities, car payment and insurance 
I pay: health insurance, groceries, internet bill 
(I know I’m missing some these are just at the top of my head) 
He makes more than me but we’ve done this for 5 years without any issues.

We have a joint for bills and add extra to save each month. Then two separate accounts. This is what my cousins suggested, and so far so good. We never wanted money to be an issue in our relationship and we both work decent paying jobs. 
I get my hair/nails/go shopping without criticism and he does/buys whatever he wants and I don’t judge him.
