Would you circumcise or pierce your baby’s ears?

I saw the circumcision poll and just wanted to see what others opinions are on this as well.

If I had a girl I would probably get her ears pierced but I would absolutely not cut something of my baby's body he was born with it it's there for a reason

My husband and I are really set on the rule that even if it's our child, it's not our body to alter. The conversation started like 7 years ago when he started researching circumcision.

I would not alter or inflict any pain that isn't medically necessary and purely for cosmetics

Due to our religious beliefs if our baby is a boy we will be circumcising him. If we have a girl-I will be piercing her ears-

My husband is circumcised and I was brought up in a culture/religion that believe in circumcisions. I’m now pregnant with my first child, before we found out that it was a girl, my husband and I decided that we would not circumcise if it was a boy, and we won’t pierce our daughters ears until she’s old enough to ask for it herself. This has to do with my feelings about consent and after doing some research. Both are in my opinion unnecessary and I feel like both are for esthetic reasons. I do however not judge anyone else for deciding to do the opposite as everyone is allowed to make a decision for their own children.
