Don’t give up

Destanie

Hey ladies, I am always on this app reading about everyone’s post. It breaks my heart when I see woman say they are tired and want to give up in trying to conceive. I completely understand the feeling though. So I would like to share my story in hopes it encourages some of you. So here it goes.

Back in February 2019 my husband and I found out that it would be nearly impossible for us to have kids due to me having endometriosis. This was heart breaking for us as we wanted a family of our own, to share our love for each other with our kid(s). Once we got this news we decided that we would put our faith in God and when it’s meant to be, if it was meant to be, then we would become parents on his time when it was right. Yes we were super upset but we decided to enjoy our marriage and just travel as much as we could. So we went on our first cruise together for our anniversary. It was a blast! We then booked our second cruise for November.

Fast forward- I kept getting my periods as normal (due to my endometriosis my periods are super heavy, horrible cramps, and extremely irregular)

My last period date was June 20th, end of July my cramps were getting worse, Boone swollen, and so sick. My husband looked at me and said “I am so sorry babe, I know this period is going to be really bad for you”

Soon, my period was 14 days late and I knew something was up, so I took a test and it came out negative, the very next day I took a another test and it was a faint positive. I called my mom crying and in disbelief. She was shocked but crying tears of joy. We are now expecting our first child and I am 12 weeks pregnant.

So ladies, please do not give up! Yes I know, I have read horrible stories about miscarriages, Unable to conceive etc. but please just keep your hopes up. I know every woman is different but please please please do not give up. Keep your head up and it will happen, maybe not by the end of the year but just know it will.

We were literally told we could not have kids unless I underwent surgery, and I miracle happened. So ladies here it to all of you! You are strong and here’s to baby dust for everyone wishing upon the baby star! Your day will come. I believe it will ❤️
