So ladies I’m in an odd place. My friend has 2 dogs, one is inside and pampered while the other is always outside either tethered or in a small caged area. Well there’s been a recent shooting of another outside dog and she thinking it might just be someone who had enough with the dogs. Well her reasoning for keeping the dog outside is the hair and she says the dog doesn’t like being inside at all. Well I’m in the process of buying a house with a huge fenced in yard and will have a door with a doggy door installed as well. Would I be overstepping asking if she’d want to pass on her dog to me?

Edit to add: so I asked her, she said while she would be happy to her boyfriend sees the dog as a guard dog to alert them if anything is outside especially at night so he won’t give her up even to just stay at my house for a few months.
