Becoming impatient

I am 28 weeks pregnant. I am a nurse that works 12 hour shifts. Every day before its time to go in I just cry because I can't imagine having to go through another shift this big and uncomfortable. I've been small my entire pregnancy and now everyone notices I am pregnant and wants to ask all sorts of questions. I'm sure my husband thinks I'm crazy but I just can't help but want our little girl here. I had my dr appointment and was sure she was going to tell me I had progressed ( I was 1 cm and 80% effaced last week) but instead she told me i am still posterior and will be at least another week with no progress this week.
