Crohns and ttc?

Question

Has anyone else had crohns while ttc? I just found out I may have crohns and was wondering if this could cause any issues with my ability to conceive. Is there any special ways to help with conceiving if I do suffer from crohns? Does crohns not effect conceiving at all? I’m really a little confused and just trying to wrap my head around this!

I was ttc for a year while still having active disease. I’m about to have an illeostomy and bag this week. Will rest and try again next year. I think not being in remission makes it harder to conceive

I have had 3 babies since I was diagnosed with crohns. I had no trouble with ttc. My pregnancies didn’t have any issues due to crohns either. However which medicine they use to treat it can have an effect on baby. I was on remicade iv infusion with all my pregnancies and it is safe. But some medication u cannot take while pregnant or ttc so be sure to tell ur drs that ur trying before they start any meds. When I was diagnosed it took over year before I got my meds figured out and my crohns under control. It can be hard and u might need to wait ttc until u get ur body situated.
