Hysterectomy

My hubby and I have a blended family. I’m 35 and have a 15 year old, he’s 47 and has a 7 and 5 year old. We would’ve loved to have a baby together but after coming to the realization of how old my only child is I decided I didn’t want to start over again. Hubby was relieved after we tried for sometime, because he will have to already push back his retirement due to his babies still being young. I have a spinal cord injury which causes autonomic dysreflexia when ever I get my period, and ovulate. AD is a fancy word for my blood pressure spiking from a stimulant on my non feeling side. After talking with my Obgyn and pcp I’ve decided to get a hysterectomy to save my heart as this condition can be deadly. My heart feels both confident and sad. Knowing my baby maker will be gone is bittersweet.
