Taking baby’s temperature

Co

Ok so I know while baby is younger than 3mo you take their temp rectally. My girl is literally 3 months old today and of course daycare calls me (her third day there) and says she has a temp of 100.5. So I bring her home and her armpit and ear temp are different then her rectal temp. Is rectal temp still the most accurate since she is barely three months? And does that mean I should still follow the 100.4 rule of contacting the dr if that or above is her temp? It is after clinic hours here so. Her rectal temp was 100 but arm and ear are 99. I am probably over thinking this but first time mom over here
