When to tell our kids we’re having another??!

Question

So I’m 6 weeks today, had my first scan yesterday, saw the heart beat and baby and everything is measuring great. 
My question is, WHEN is a good time to tell our other 5 kids were expecting another?
I want to this weekend but Im not sure if it’s too early...
They’re ages 4, 8, 9, 11 & 12.

If you're comfortable telling them about possible miscarriage, do it now! If you'd rather not have to explain that to them, I would wait a couple months until the chances of miscarriage drop more. Whatever is best for your family!

When you're comfortable with them telling everyone (especially the younger ones). I really coached them into "family only for now" but they told everyone....even people we hardly talk to lol

I didn’t tell mine until we were at the 12 weeks

I told mine fairly early but they've been through miscarriages with me in the past so I knew they could handle that news and since I get hyperemesis with every pregnancy, it is impossible to hide from them. That being said, my kids are old enough to understand that it isnt their place to tell anybody. If I were you, I wouldnt tell your 4 year old until you are ready for the news to get out. My sisters little boy spilled the beans when she was only around 5 or 6 weeks with her third and it was a rough situation because our friend that struggles with infertility was in the room at the time and wasnt prepared to receive the news at all.

I told my 6 year old at 8 weeks (a week after I found out) and she already knew lol she was the one that had told me a few weeks before that I was pregnant so she wasnt shocked.

We waited to tell my son who is 11 until we had told the rest of the family. This was because he can’t keep a secret to save his life and we didn’t want everyone finding out from him rather than us. But everyone was told during my 9th week

I waited to tell my other 5 children (aged 24, 22, 16, 14 & 14) until we reached the 12 week mark. Mainly because our first miscarriage hit them hard - particularly my daughter (who is special needs), and we have had a further 2 miscarriages that they didn't know about.
I just didn't want to tell them and have my daughter's heart broken all over again.
You know your kids, you should be able to guage how they'll react to the news in the first instance and if God forbid anything happens.
