I understand it, I do. But I’m still disappointed and hurt.

I told my best friend I will have a one-month-old baby at the time of his wedding. He told me he was so excited about my baby, and yes, we were definitely still invited to his wedding. I was supposed to officiant the ceremony as well.

I got a call from him today and not only has his fiancée found a new officiant, he also let me know my partner and I are no longer invited to the wedding.

I could tell he felt really uncomfortable with it and I could hear his fiancée in the background telling him what to say.

I can understand wanting a kid free wedding, but it still hurts.

And no I won’t leave my baby at home. The wedding is a couple of hours from home and I will be breastfeeding. I understand my decision to not leave my baby plays a massive part, and that’s a decision I have to live with. I probably would leave it with my sister if it was a bit older, but I just don’t think I could leave it for even a few hours at just one-month-old.
