Is checking line progression necessary?

I see a lot of ladies doing line progression and that makes me extrenely nervous cause i dont want to see something come up negative after ive already gotten my digital yes... is it necessary for me to keep going with test? Seems like a waste of money but my OB isnt having me come in till the 24th for a 7 week ultrasound....

It’s only helpful if it somehow calms your anxiety. It doesn’t tell you anything about how your pregnancy is doing. I think it’s a waste.

Line progression means nothing unless you have a VVFL at first. Test again a few days later to confirm. Your urine isnt going to be the same concentration every day and those tests pick up the hcg is there not how much. It's very stressful if your urine is more diluted and you get a lighter line one day.

Not at all necessary. I did test a lot with my pregnancy after my miscarriage because I started bleeding and was terrified of another miscarriage. I used Dollar Tree tests though so it didn’t break the bank.

Most OBs don’t see you until 7 or 8 weeks pregnant. Mine won’t see me till the 25th at 8 weeks. If you want to make sure your hgc levels are going in the right direction for your piece of mind, some primary care doctors will test it for you. Mine did. But you don’t need to do line progression. Only if you really want too.

If you don’t want to spend money, just wait a few days and take one more. It should be significantly darker. I only test to see if it gets darker after having a chemical pregnancy. But if you get a super bold line its very unlikely. 
I know people say they mean nothing but I’ve been pregnant 3 times and each time line darkness progressed (every two days). 
I’ve had two chemicals where they didn’t. But know there are a lot of variables when tracking progression like is your urine diluted, same brand test, how much dye is in each test, same time every day, etc. that’s why typically people say it’s not reliable and to get bloodwork

I took the 2 tests that came in the box I bought and then a week later i had a confirmation appointment and referral to an obgyn and they tested me there and when i got to my obgyn at 12 weeks they took urine and gave me a scan . I didnt feel the need to test all the time. But that's just me.
