Vitamin k shot?

Is it safe? My child only got it because they scared us into it at the hospital. He didn’t get any other vaccine.

The pressured me and tried to scare me too! It was fucking annoying but I didn’t get it. The dose is too high.

Vitamin K shot has a black box warning. We declined and were pressured by the on call pediatrician who kept threatening that she wasn’t going to ever sign the discharge papers if we didn’t get it because our baby will “definitely die without it” or “their bodies never make their own vitamin k” which are both false and just scare tactics the American Association of Pediatrics likes to use. We threatened to report her for coercion and then fired her from our care team. At my postpartum check up, my OB also took it upon himself to file a written complaint on our behalf about her. Our family pediatrician disagreed completely, saying he wasn’t concerned that our daughter didn’t receive it, and if we were okay with it then everything is perfect. Said he wouldn’t even have recommended the oral vitamin k drops. Do what you think is best for your baby🖤

My first son got it because they pressured me into it. My son wasn’t yellow until after the shot...for a long time. I regretted it so much. Because he came out flesh toned and a little pink and they said he isn’t jaundice. I kept telling them no thank you and was so mad that he went from flesh toned to yellow. I have another on the way and I’m definitely not going to get it again. It’s just too much in one dose. Babies don’t needed added stress. They were just brought into the world.
