Group B Strep positive, did antibiotics hurt?

So I just found out I tested positive for Group B Strep. I’m being induced at 39 weeks on 10/21 due to my age, I’m 40. I hear the antibiotics can burn in the IV. Anyone experience this, or not??

I tested positive for my first, and now for my second. Now that you mention it, I remember it burning a bit at first but it goes away. There’s so many other things going on that are way more distracting.

I don’t remember it hurting but also my contractions made anything uncomfortable feel like nothing compared to them 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

I was group b positive for all 4 of my pregnancies. The antibiotics kinda burned for a couple seconds when they first go in but wasn’t bad. Didn’t notice it with all the contractions lol

I had it with my first and no the meds didn't hurt at all.

I had it with my 1st don't remember it hurting but question how do we get this anyway?

Just depends how fast they have them go in and if they dilute it. Mine hurt going in because baby was coming fast and they needed to get them in me quickly. Only took about 15-20 to rush a full bag of antibiotics.

I just had them last week during labor and I didn’t even feel it. Once in a while it would just feel sore going in a little sting so I’d tell the nurse and she’s just flush it and make it go in at a slower rate and it helped! I’d say if it hurt it’d be for maybe 10 seconds at most though
