Thrush??

Question

Anyone experienced thrush in their pregnancy or bacteria vaginitis? And had healthy pregnancy?

Answer

A yeast infection, or thrush, and vaginitis are very common in pregnancy because of the hormonal shifts. If you know it is a yeast infection you *should* be able to use an over the counter treatment without issue, but double check with your provider to be sure. For bacterial vaginitis, they will need to prescribe you something. I know yeast infections typically do not hinder a healthy pregnancy, though if present at delivery can cause thrush in the newborn's mouth that is relatively easily treated. Bacterial you will need to discuss with your provider.
