When are you planning on potty training?

I know it seems early but I saw this post on training at 15 or 18 months in one weekend where you have them go without a diaper...thoughts?

I learnt with my first the best plans go to waste. I’ll help train my second when he’s 100% ready. My first I was trying to train her for year started around 20m

I don’t plan on potty training until she shows interest in the potty. Hopefully that will be soon because I have baby #2 on the way due next summer and I’d like to have her at least almost potty trained. Like panties during the day and pull ups at nap and bed time

Were gonna order the stuff around 16 months (Xmas) and start letting her get used to it. But won't start a regimen until she shows more Intrest

We started potty training my daughter at 20 months. She got poop training immediately but pee training took till she was 2.5. Her body just wasn’t ready despite her being cognitively ready. It took till 2.5 for her to have good bladder control and be able to hold her urine.

Our pediatrician kept telling us to wait with our first and not to push it. She will be 3 in December and is just now (mostly) potty trained for the last 2-4 weeks. We bought a potty somewhere between 18-24 months and it was a fun toy for a week and then she had no interest and cried if we put her on it. I’m glad we waited because it was soooo easy! Daycare did most of the work as they have a more rigid schedule/routine and as soon as they sent all her pull ups home then we just started putting her in underwear at home too and it’s like magic, she’s potty trained!!

With my oldest we tried at 18 months but she wasn’t into it so we held off until she turned 2. She was completely potty trained day and night at 25 months in 1 week and maybe 3 accidents over all. I’ll try again with this little lady at 18 months to see what happens. I’m thinking she’ll catch on quickly though since she already shows interest and understands the concept, thanks to her big sister.

My little one already tells us when he is about to poop and sometimes when he pees. He also tells us when his diaper is super full 🤣 I want to start no later than 2 maybe sooner if he is ready. But I know it doesn’t happen over night. It’s a process.
