Stomach or leg better for injections?

Question

I will be starting my first IVF round in a couple weeks, and I’m wondering whether the stomach or the leg is better for the subcutaneous injections? In my mind it would be easier to do it in my leg, but there’s more fat on my stomach so I’m not sure what is better.

I have had absolutely no problem with stomach shots. The Cetrotide left welts for a few hours. I’m on my third round of IVF though.. so it’s almost business as usual at this point. During my stims my belly took a beating... menopur stings. But I still can’t imagine those in my leg..

I think a majority of people do stomach, but I did mine on my leg and it didn’t hurt at all—at most, it was like a mosquito bite. I like it better because it felt like a less vulnerable place to jab a needle than my torso.

Stomach is easy and not painful. For your trigger, if you have to do it yourself, don’t do it in the leg! You can give it to yourself in the backside (there are videos online) and it will hurt way less than the leg!
