If your guy friend is over protective of you and always teases you does he like you?

My bff guy friend (we’re both freshman) is super over protective of me and teases me a lot. Everyone says he likes me. Is this true?

It depends on the guy. If someone hates you, they wouldn’t tease you in a positive light or be protective of you. He can like you just as friends. 
My best friend and I met in the 5th grade. We both graduated high school at 16 and went to college. He was slightly overprotective of me but he trusted me and knew I could stand my own ground. He would always tease me, etc, but he only liked me as a best friend. He loves me as a best friend and he’s still my best friend outside of my marriage. 
Ask him though. Ask him if he likes you in a platonic way-meaning without sexual or romantic attracting.
