Raynauds Phenomenon??

Question

Has anyone experienced this? Apparantly now because ive started taking labetalol ive developed this. Any ideas on how to manage it? The pain is unbearable at times. My doctor wasnt really any help..

I’ve had it for over 10 years now. Beta blockers can help it but not while pregnant. The only advice I can give is keep hands and feet warm at all times as much as possible, wear gloves when you need to reach into the freezer or fridge, don’t put your hands in cold water. Try to stay relaxed as stress can make it worse as well. If it’s getting progressively worse you will need to see a rhumitologist to do tests to make sure your vessels are not thickening but this usually takes years to start developing. 
Raynauds is also usually a secondary symptom to other medical issues, it’s not common to have primary raynauds so they may want to look into it further. Can result from simple vitamin deficiencies or something more

Yeah I’ve had this for as long as I can remember all you can really do is keep warm it does get painful in the winter i usually double layer my gloves but I’m used to it so doesn’t bother me that much now and as for the beta blockers they made mine worse🤔

I have primary raynauds. Had is since I was about 12 years old. Beta blockers make it worse.. infact I have a high heart rate and tried a few beta blockers to lower it from the cardiologist ( they didn't know I had raynauds at first). The only beta blocker that didn't give me awful side effects I wasn't allowed to take as it made my raynauds worse. Now I don't take any beta blockers at all due to this. Raynauds is one of those conditions that's is a pain in the arse... nothing cures it, you just find your own way of managing it. I've found since driving I can manage it more. I also have heated seats and a heated steering wheel in my car which helps alot. I really just minimise the time I spend outdoors in winter as much as I can. After an attack occurs be careful when reheating your hands as to not burn them because their that numb you don't feel the damage you can do. Gradually warm them. You can get battery powered heated gloves. Little heated hand packs are good too. I also have it in my feet but that doesn't bother me much. My feet being freezing is my normal. Every now and again il warm them up in bed on my SO 😂 something I have noticed over recent years is that I'm so used to being cold now that when I am actually hot I feel on fire and I can't bare it.

Be careful as you can develop digital ulcers from losing to much circulation and those are extremely painful and difficult to heal. I have an autoimmune disorder that has raynaurds as a secondary symptom. Keep you hands warm wear gloves and buy tons of hot hands to keep you fingers warm. It can also spread to your toes so be careful.
