Does everyone wait the whole 6 weeks/cleared by your doctor to have sex after childbirth? Any comments or suggestions welcome

You should definitely wait till your dr clears you. Even if you “feel fine” and bleeding has stopped you still have a dinner plate sized wound where your placenta was and are risking some serious infections.

No matter how you deliver you have about an 8 inch wound inside of you from where the placenta was. Don’t wanna risk infection. Plus it’s so painful

Everyone should. Do they, no. It’s such a risk for infection putting anything up your vagina before the large plate size wound is healed. I’ll never risk it.

Nope. I had 3 kids. Each one i didn't rip or anything. Perfectly natural delivery. I waited 5 weeks after my 1st, and 2 werks after my 2nd & 3rd. Never had any issues, nor did it hurt. My doctor advised me to wait but said its my body my choice and I'll know if my body is ready. I stopped bleeding after 1 week pp with all 3 of my kiddos. So that helped.

I gave birth early at 21 weeks. And although I wasn't 10cm or even close to that, my dr told me to wait 6 weeks. I did. I didn't want to risk anything.
