weird bump ??

my baby has had this bump on him for 14 months. we’ve went to the doctor but they have no clue what it is. it keeps spreading after all the medication. HELP PLZ!!

listen love advocate for that baby. let them know if they can’t answer you want someone who can. you want a referral to a dermatologist. you want a biopsy a scan bloodwork the works. Fuck them if they say No stand your ground

You need to see a dermatologist. My son had this weird sore that would come and go for almost a year under his eye and his pediatrician kept doing a bunch of different stuff and basically had no idea. I finally demanded a referal to a dermatologist he walked in looked and 30 seconds later explained what it was. He has a Denny Morgan fold.

Take him to a pediatric dermatologist. Ask your pediatrician for a referral. Also, they seem incompetent as a Dr. I’m sure it’s fine, but this should absolutely be investigated!

This might sound like an odd question but what kind of doctor is he seeing? A lot of family care doctors are honestly not the brightest. Im not saying they’re stupid but they arent trained to know the deeper/more complex & more complicated cases. Please be weary of any doctor that seems very sure of himself & is confident even despite the spreading. This is a dangerous mindset to have as a doctor, though very common and he can be potentially doing more harm than good. Try seeing a dermatologist for this one. And let him know it’s spreading. It looks like he’s going to need some type of specialist whether it’s dermatology, or immunology as this can be an immune response. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Im not a doctor so I obviously don’t know what’s wrong with him but there’s people who can test it and figure it out and it’s most likely not going to be his primary care physician. I would definitely seek help from a more skilled doctor that has the knowledge to take care of your son. Good luck you guys! It looks similar to my sons hemangioma BUT not identical. I definitely agree with everyone else saying to go to a dermatologist!

It looks like one of those strawberry marks (forget the medical name for it). My 5 year old has one a little smaller on the side of his abdomen. The doctor said there’s really nothing for it, it’s like a birth mark. He’s had it since he was a baby too but has since stopped growing and has gotten lighter.
