Is it really a BOY?

Question

Has anybody had blood test wrong for the gender. Specifically the NIPT test? It said its a boy and I haven't had ultrasound to confirm but  I go in two weeks. I really want it to be a BOY because we have 3 girls already and had a miscarriage in May, so he would be our Rainbow baby.😊

If you had it done at a clinic or doctors office there’s a VERY small chance of a false positive like almost none. The reason is because they separate your blood from the baby’s and if there’s a Y chromosome found it’s definitely a boy because you don’t have one. With a girl result there’s a higher chance of it being wrong because they could have just missed the chromosome. My NIPT said boy at 9 weeks and my anatomy scan confirmed it!

My NIPT results were right. Said boy, and just had anatomy scan yesterday with a very clear picture of his junk.

If it is truly NIPT done through a doctors office (not the sneak peek test), they are all greater than 99% accurate for fetal sex. Honestly if the ultrasound shows the opposite of what the NIPT says (which some large studies show is about 1/5000), while there is always a chance it could be lab error, we are worried that there could be a medical concern for baby causing the difference.
