Birth Story
So it’s kinda long, but what a day! So yesterday 10/11/19 I had a Drs appointment for the NST test on my twins and to see my Dr. Let me tell you this my whole pregnancy my Dr and I have butted heads!
So I go to the nurse 1st for the NST test and she tells me that I’m having slight contractions but nothing major. I tell her that all night long I haven’t felt good, lots of pressure. She proceeds to tell me that it’s normal with twins.
So then I go to see my DR, all in the same building it’s Kaiser so it’s all right there. Like always I get irritated with my dr fast. (Oh and let me tell you that we are an hour in half away from home) so he sends us home. We are on the highway and I’m telling my SO that I’m not feeling good at all. It gets worse he is trying to get over and pull over and I lose it vomit goes everywhere. So I get out finish my business. SO is great he is cleaning up the inside of the Tahoe, offers me his shirt. So we get back on the road and we get to the town we live in and he goes in the grocery store and gets food for dinner some 7up for me and soup.
So with having Kaiser insurance unless it’s an emergency your limited to where you can go. So we go home I take a shower and go lay down and fall asleep for awhile. I wake up vomit again and now the diarrhea hits. Now I’m really concerned for the twins! I call the birthing center which is 2 hours away from us. The RN I talked to was great and told me that she was worried since it’s getting worse and not better to come in. So now we are back on the road again. So I’ll try and shorten it a little 3 hours later due to getting sick again. We arrived. They take us back to the triage room to evaluate me. Contractions are like 3 mins apart so the dr comes in and she checks for dilation. I’m 5 cm. So now everybody is on the ball, my lil girl is breech so they don’t want me to dilate anymore. So now I’m going to OR. Which scares the hell out of me. So they take me back, SO is getting ready in a different room. So now I’m about freaking out!. So I’m getting the spinal and that was an awful but amazing feeling. And my lil girls heart rate drops. So now they want her out.
They start cutting me open before SO gets in there. So I’m about to lose it. He gets there with me and the look on his face I knew something was not right. I could hear them talking about baby A but there is no crying. Next thing baby B comes out screaming. Finally we hear our son cry. Most amazing sound ever.
