Contractions mean dialation?

39 weeks next week with #2 and been having mild to strong contractions for almost the last two months. My doctor doesn’t do cervical checks so I have no idea if I am have dialated. With my first I had ZERO contractions and Braxton Hicks and ended up being induced. Do contractions mean some kind of dilation or should I expect to be induced again?

No, it depends on the contractions. If you've been having them for two months then it's most likely BH, which don't cause dilation.

Contractions unfortunately don’t mean much.. unless they are consistent and get stronger, they could mean labor, I’d check with your doctor and drink lots of water

It depends on the contractions.  Some are productive and some (like Braxton Hicks) are just practice contractions and do not cause changes to the cervix.  There's not really any way to know for sure.
