Hai Friends! So I was extremely excited to go to my first ob and ultrasound appointment. It didn’t go the way I thought it did though. My OB was super nice and excited for me which was great! She says she thinks I’m 13w based on my last period. I also asked if I could listen to the baby’s heartbeat and she said it may be too early but she tired with a Doppler but couldn’t hear anything but not to worry. (I worried) Next I went to my ultrasound and was excited to see the baby for the first time and call my boyfriend so he could see too. (He’s in Ireland since he can’t get into the US since some visa issue) The lady doing the ultrasound kept telling me I couldn’t call, FaceTime, take pictures or record a video of the ultrasound at all due to legal reasons. This really upset me because it’s my boyfriend and I’s first child and I really wanted him to experience it with me. She seemed really really apologetic so I understood. She also said that they don’t let people hear the baby’s heart beat since the baby is still developing and the sound waves to hear it can be hard on the baby. However she gave me tons of pictures of the baby. I also found out that even though my OB says I’m around 13w that the baby is measuring around 11w. It was definitely not what I expected but I’m happy my little bun is doing well. Im excited and can’t wait for my next appointment.
