Enforcing “hospital rules”
I think most of us who are pregnant or have had babies before want rules when family comes to meet your newborn for the first time. (This will be my first baby) but I’m having SOO much anxiety on how I’m going to deal with my family and enforcing rules on them. They are all so opinionated (SO’s family included) and “laid back” that they think my rules won’t be necessary. We have quite a few small children and teenagers in the family as well and am worried being that I’ll be delivering at the end of cold and flu season.
I’m top of that, BOTH my parents smoke and I know they won’t refrain from smoking the day they come to visit for the first time. Like how do I deal with that??!
Also, I know they’ll want baby kisses. HUGE no no🙅🏻♀️ I’m just so worried that they’ll do something I don’t want either behind my back or out of my control. How do I handle this without ruining the day and getting in arguments?
