Did your Breastmilk dry up when you got pregnant?? What will happen?

Hey mammas, so I’m pregnant with baby #2 and my 2 year old daughter is still nursing. 
I’m wondering what will happen with my breastmilk? Will it dry up in the middle of my pregnancy? Will it just keep flowing up until I deliver? Will I still get engorged when the baby is born?

When you are pregnant It is no longer supply and demand. It is based on hormones. You can’t do anything to boost supply or prevent it from going when pregnant. It’s up to your body and everyone is different. With me it definitely decreased my milk supply. Now 24 weeks and little one is almost completely weened my supply is pretty much gone. Was gone before he was fully weened. I actually had to start him on regular milk a little before age one (recommended by my pediatrician) because I was barely producing anything anymore. He was maybe 10/11 months old. I got pregnant at 9 months PP.

If you continue to breastfeed no it will not dry up...if you stop it will until your new baby is born..

My 2.5 year old was night nursing just to fall asleep every other night or so, so mine did in fact dry up by the third month.  It wasn’t fully dried up but it was EXCRUCIATING to continue nursing him for the tiny bit he was getting.  It was just a comfort measure obviously by 2.5 so I just weaned him.  The first few nights were a bit rough, but I continued to cuddle him to sleep and he falls asleep fine now just cuddling.
