Does the cost of a ring matter?

Does it matter how much your Significant other out towards a ring?
Me personally I could give two fucks lol I rather him put thousands towards a house or vacation you know ? Especially because we aren’t rich lol

I could’ve cared less! My first ring, he got from Walmart as a quick thing because he literally couldn’t wait any longer and he could barely even wait to actually propose! We got home from shopping and I knew he had bought me a surprise but I walked away for a second and he asked me so nervously 😍😂
My bridal set was a little more expensive but I gained some weight, and I’m the summer my fingers swelled so he bought me a 30$ set on amazon and honestly, I get more comments on it than I do my original so I stick to the cheaper one as he loves when he hears the comments on because he picked it out all himself even though it was on amazon 😍

The cost doesn’t matter but to me I think the quality & the meaning behind the ring does. My partner has told me exactly how much money he put into my ring (I asked because he told me he bought it not too long ago & I know he’s planning to propose soon) & though I would’ve NEVER asked him to get me a ring for that amount at all EVER it was completely his choice & I am definitely excited for it & grateful for it. He could afford it & felt like getting it so who am I to be upset about that? Everyone’s situation is different. Someone getting a cheaper ring doesn’t mean they don’t love their partner at all some people have different reasons for that which I respect fully.

I never got proposed, thats why my wedding band was a bit pricey since I put diamonds in it, around 2000$, his ring is just tungsten/steel around 20$ since he tends to lose it. Now for my 30th bday, 1,5y after marriage, Im getting my engagement ring, but Im just gonna choose a simple small one, the price really does not matter, since we have our babygirl on the way 🥰 we can use the money more wisely.
