And needing reassurance in the relationship 
If he was never romantic you can’t expect him to magically become a romantic guy
But if it’s reassurance you need, maybe let him know what your insecurities are and how he can help

Sometimes I wish my fiancé would do sweeping gestures like ill come home to flowers or something like that but I don’t really get to bummed about it becasue he does other things to show he loves me, even if they’re small things. For example, he leaves earlier than I do and when it snows he clears my car off for me. Or when I work late I come home to dinner waiting for me. Little things help me know he cares

Husband doesn’t say I love you often but instead shows me that he loves me every day.  He told me early on that saying I love you constantly looses its meaning. It was odd but my ex said it constantly and didn’t actually love me. Expectation of romance is low for me. But we touch and hug A lot. I have days where I feel insecure and he’s good to give me hugs.

My husband is not romantic...AT ALL! However, this was clear when we are dating and I never had expectation of him being romantic as I don’t care if he is or not. If I was someone who liked romance I would have not continued with the relationship and found someone more compatible
