First prenatal appointment.. too late?

I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant (according to the app since the first day of my last period) and my family doctor scheduled my first prenatal appointment for Dec. 10th which I’ll be like 4 months. Is this too late for my first prenatal appointment?? I haven’t gone to a gynaecologist yet, haven’t had an ultrasound or any type of care for my pregnancy. Is this normal (Sorry it’s my first pregnancy).??

Thank you ladies for replying!! 💕💕 I have made an appointment with a gynaecologist for this upcoming Monday the 21st. I wanted to ask here first in case if I was out of my mind or if it was really so late for being the first prenatal appointment. Thanks again!!

Maybe try with a diff doctor? I never heard of it this late the lastest I seen was 12 weeks.

I’ve never heard  of a first appt being that late either. I think the standard first appt is around 8 weeks! Are you sure you told them the right first date of your last period?

Usually first appointment are between 8-10 weeks

Gor a first appointment ?? They like 8-10 weeks or even a little later. But I would be dying. Idk if your 8 weeks- Im 10w... That means they probably will be able to tell the gender almost vy December. I would call the OBGYN myself and ask for an earlier date. Ive had 3 appointments already- and a 4th mid November and I have no issues.

I am in the same boat. Based off my LMP I am 8w5d and my doc is so booked up that he can’t get me in for my first appointment until Nov. 7th. I’ll be 11 weeks by then.
