Here is my crazy birth story.

I had a sweep done a week before baby was due that arvo I had contractions constantly was in our hospital getting sent home but was only 2cm dilated by Friday morning I was on the phone crying to my mum I hadn’t slept in 2 days and the pains were getting worse I was lying in the shower , she called the hospital they said to come back in. When I got there at 8am I was 4cm dilated so they kept me & put me on antibiotics as I was positive to strep b. After a hour they broke my waters within 15 minutes I had back to back contractions I was on the gas that did nothing so I asked for an epidural. It was all good after that I waited till 5pm & got to 10cm, I started pushing for a hour babies head was there so I got excited and kept pushing as hard as I could then the doctors come in and said my baby was stuck and his heart rate was dropping they had to do a forced birth or emergency c section . All of a sudden I had 15 people plus in the room , I was so exhausted I had the shakes so bad and couldn’t keep my eyes open , I felt another contraction so pressed the epidural as they went to move me it had disconnected so wasn’t working then they said I’m at high risk for infection now . Went down to theatre , had spinal blocks I still couldn’t keep my eyes open , before I knew it my baby born was born 8.12 pounds , I didn’t really see him as I so out of it I went to recovery for a while then I was able to be with my boy. It was one crazy experience , I’m really small and I wish the doctors said before hand I could have a c section cause it would of been a lot easier on me and my boy. But he’s here now healthy & im so glad it’s over . 🥰
