8 DPO and took a test and got a bfn is it still too early?

Way too early. A fertilized egg might not even have implanted yet. Wait at least 14 days after ovulation before you test. Many blessings doll 💗

Yes, too early... wait until you miss AF! 
You can test if you want to but also be prepared for a BFN, as well as a vfl.
