MY BIRTHING STORY(FTM)
So have always wanted to write about my birthing story because I believe that every birth is special and very emotional to us mum's and as such the world needs to hear or read of it..
So I got past my due date which was supposed to be on September 17 making it 40weeks,an I started having mild contractions at around 39weeks,but on my 40weeks appointment my doc said my baby's head was still high and my cervix wasn't opening and apart from having mild contractions labour wasn't fort coming.. So we got another appointment for 41weeks.. And went back to the hospital and the result was still the same baby's head was still high and cervix wasn't opening so my husband and I decided for an induction on the week leading up to 42week's.. After going through pre-labour pain for almost 3weeks.
So we finally got checked in on Friday morning at about 1:am where I was placed on a monitor to track both the baby's heartbeat and my contractions few minutes later the nurse came in an inserted a cervidil to ripened my cervix.. So she said she would live it on for about 10hours or more I really can't remember much in other to get things going... So after inserting it I decided to take a quick nap but couldn't sleep and woke up at about 5:am in the morning having some sought of menstrual like kind of cramps...and my husband was asking to know how I was doing I told him about the menstrual cramps that I was having he asked if he could call the doctors and I said no that I will manage the pains.. Soon it started getting unbearable so I asked him to call the doctors and yeah they showed up said I was having real contractions and gosh it was getting worse so asked if I needed an epidural and I said no they kept monitoring baby's heart beat and the contractions and once more I was trying to be a super mum bearing the pain screaming and crying at the top of my voice..
They checked me I was 2cm opens but then my body was on fire I felt like I was going to die but still trying to take in all the pains and at about 11:am in the morning my husband started pleading I take the epidural because the pain was getting to much and he couldn't watch to see me in such pain as him too was crying along with me.. And some of the nurses too were pleading I take the epidural that have been on active labour for the past 7hours and that things we're moving too slow, So I finally decided to take it and after a couple of minute a male doc came in and I was giving the epidural.. Few seconds later the pains wear off and I started feeling dizzy at this point I began to lose control of what was going on at that moment... I became dizzy they checked me and I was 4cm opened so they broke my water at that moment I fell asleep and then few minutes later I could that there's has been a problem the baby's heart is know longer stable on the monitor they tried all they could to know what the problem was but were unable.. Soon I felt a gush of water down my woman part and told my husband who called the doctor she checked and said she was unable to find the baby's head that the baby has turned and her heartbeat was waving and the only thing right now is an emergency CS.. I was really weak at that moment and fear gripped my heart so my husband and I started crying this wasn't part of the plan we didn't hope for this but still my lovely husband became my strength and we went ahead with it and at about 3:45pm 27/9/2019my baby ekan grace endurance was born.. No matter How you give birth every mom is a 🦸♀️HERO
