were you told that u were high risk/downsydrome

My ob that I have been slacking on appts cause I wanted a new one called saying that I’m high risk and that there’s a great possibility that my baby would have downsydrome.

I don’t have this in my family , neither my partner, I would love my child regardless but this is a whole new outlook on life and stressing me when I can’t stress for exactly this reason I’m 15 weeks and have to wait a whole week to see my OB

I must start praying everyday. A friend of mine was told the same thing by every doctor and her baby was not born with any defects at all and is a very happy little girl.
