Pacifier?

Anyone’s LO use a paci? Mine does but at 9 weeks old he can NOT keep it in his mouth. Anyone mastered that? Anything I can do to help him? I

I was so against them at first until she started using me a soother 😂 I found once I pop it in her mouth I tap the end with my finger until she starts sucking but she will spit it out if she doesn't want it anymore.

I had about a dozen different pacis to try before we found one that stuck. I like Evenflo and from the beginning I'd put my index finger on or under baby's nose so my scent would kinda trick into thinking of nursing. Baby is 13 wks now and takes a paci if so desired.

Have you tried different types of paci’s? My son sucks at keeping a soothie in his mouth but the ones that are more curved will stay is his mouth better(besides he hates them and spits them out🙄) but if you baby will take a different kind I would definitely try that! It hard having to keep their paci in for them all the time.

Also baby uses a clip thingy. When I'm upright trying to soothe I through it over her shoulder so it doesn't go forward and at night (only time I clip it ) it's clipped down so it only reaches her mouth so it doesn't roll into her next or something.

The wubbanub thing .. that paci has a hole to stick your finger in.. it's the Advent kind... The hole helps but my baby only takes paci if she wants it. Once they realize..  oooooo this helps to soothe me (soother🤣🤣) they may like it ... But like I said the hole for the Advent one I think helped

My LO did best with the BIBS paci. We may try the wubbanub when he’s a bit older if he likes the animal on the end

I’ve heard the wubbanub can help with that! My son refuses a paci but my daughter took one and she liked holding the wubbanub

My boys have done well with the mam brand. Neither one could handle the weight or shape of other brands.

My daughter is 10 wks old n she keep hers in...at first I tried her wit one n she use to spit it out only to realize the nuk was too big was frm 6 months up...so I get a 0 to 3 months n it wrks

Mine will not take one, but I’m fine with not having to break that habit later 😋
