Have you looked into Toyota? Rav4.. 4 runner... Highlander.. Plenty of options.. They run forever!!!! I worked at a Ford dealership.. Don't really reccomend the Explorer.

Fords are not great cars. Honda is good but you need to make 100% sure you do any maintenance exactly when its recommended or before. If you're interested toyotas a great as well. I have a 15 year old 4runner and it's still fabulous. They're not as particular about upkeep as what a honda is. Obviously still do your recommended upkeep etc. My dad is a engine machinist and deals with all these vehicles and he preaches toyota

I have a pilot and absolutely love it. It’s comfortable, roomy and safe. I have 3 kids and a tall husband and we have plenty of room.

My aunt and uncle have a Pilot and have been in a couple bad accidents but have never been hurt. They say they’ve never had a safer vehicle and don’t want to own anything else

Love my explorer!

I have an explorer and love it! Sooo roomy and the third row will be nice if I ever need it! Only down side I’d say is the blind spots in them are terrible and it can feel like driving a tank.
