The wedding planning went underway. Mr. Phillips & Vance looked up dates for the big day. Mrs. Phillips & Leila went from vendor to vendor for cakes, flowers & dresses. The decided that the day would be New Years <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android.eve">Eve</a>. They would host a New Years <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android.eve">Eve</a> Party & celebrate into the New Year with family & guests. Things were moving too quickly for Leila. She tried seeking James out, but since the engagement, he was nowhere to be found. He tried to stay busy & went to the gym or his personal workout room in the basement. He tried spending his wake hours working or out of the house at least to avoid everyone & mostly Leila. He was still in love with her & he knew she had to make a deal with his dad concerning marrying Vance, but he didn’t think she’d go through with it. James hater the circumstance. He hated himself for not stopping the proposal. He hated himself for not explaining how he felt about Leila to his brother.

Mrs. Phillips was way excited about gaining a daughter. She considered having two sons as a blessing, but now this would be a big bonus for her to welcome Leila into the family. Mrs. Phillips was very type-A & wanted everything to be perfect for the big day. She wanted to help & involve herself in every aspect of the day. Vance often reminded her that it was his & Leila’s day & not her day. She understood, but she just couldn’t help herself. Even if she overstepped boundaries, Leila didn’t mind.

Leila had to constantly talk herself out of her feelings for James. In a way she brainwashed herself to believe that she loved Vance. She knew that deep down inside she loved James & only James.

James was in the gym & as he worked out, he kept replaying Thanksgiving Day in his mind over & over again. From the time Leila spoke with his dad & the conversation he had with his dad. His dad made Leila promise to marry Vance no matter what. His dad made him promise not to ruin the wedding otherwise he’d be kicked out of the Phillip’s company & will. They had no choice. Only time would be able to tell if their love for one another is real.
