baby shower...?

so currently pregnant with twin boys. my first baby was a girl. everyone is expecting me and telling me i should have a baby shower, but my girl isn’t even 2 yet. i feel like i should just have a baby “sprinkle” and not a full blown shower, but i don’t really want a bunch of gifts. but everyone is telling me i’m crazy for thinking that since i have one girl and. now expecting 2 boys. so now i’m conflicted. any suggestions or thoughts?

I would do a sprinkle. Get a bunch of boy clothes and diapers rather than big ticket items as I assume you never got rid of your swing/rocker/etc.

My brother was in the same boat (reverse genders) and we threw them a diaper party for the twins. We had an all inclusive party at a hall on a Saturday night and everyone brought whatever diapers they wanted a the idea was the lighten the financial load and have some fun together before 1 became 3. It was great. He had diapers for a whole year stored in my parents’ basement.

I'd go ahead and have a baby shower. You can specify on the invites that gifts aren't expected but will be appreciated. A baby shower is for celebrating baby so I don't see the issue in not having one just because you had one for your previous baby, especially since you're having boys this time, and twins. The extra diapers and things you may get will come in handy!

If you want boy specific things like boy clothes, bedding, etc. and two of some bigger things like high chairs, swings etc, I’d definitely do a shower.
