Vance checked the whole house then proceeded to the guesthouse. He couldn’t find Leila & decided to head back to the dining room. He thought maybe she was on a walk around the house & would return shortly afterwards. James had a feeling Leila was at the tulips fields. He grabbed a small black jewelry box from his room then got in his car to find Leila.

He made his way to the tulip fields & snow had already settled on top of the flowers. In the distance he saw Leila walking in the midst of the field.

James: What are you doing here?

Leila: I miss the tulips. Too bad all this snow is covering them up.

James: They’ll be back the next season.

Leila: It just proves that all good things must come to an end.

James: Why do I have a feeling you’re not talking about the flowers anymore?

Leila holds James.

Leila: James, hold me.

James hugs her back. They exchange gifts to each other. James hands her the small black box & she hands James the letter that was meant for him. He reads the letter & placed the necklace on Leila’s neck. They kiss in the middle of the snow & tulips. Leila held on tight to the back James’ neck. As they kissed, she closed her eyes & dreaded the end of their kiss.

James: Leila, we better get going.

Leila: Wait, can we stay for just a few more minutes.

James continued to hold onto her as she asked.

He knew this may be the last time he’d ever get to hold her this intimately. The entire drive back to the manor, they held tightly onto each other’s hands.
