How did you find the perfect name for your son?

I can’t find the right name for my son. There are many I like but none of them feel like “the one.” How did you decide on your sons name & what is it?? I appreciate any comment :)

Some people just make a list of 2 or 3 names that they like and see what the baby looks like when they enter the world.

We named our son Truman Edward. The middle name was easy because it's my husband's middle name and I love it as well! Honestly, we picked Truman because we love the Truman show!
We just sorta picked it and stuck with it. We didn't want to consider too many names to complicate anything for us lol.

When me and my husband found out I was pregnant we had planned a beach trip with my in-laws. So while of vacation we were at dinner talking about names and my mother in law mentioned that her grandfathers name was Oliver. At that moment me and my husband looked right at each other. And we knew that was going to be our sons name if we were having a boy. Honestly, I loved the name so much and was so excited to find out what we were having. And sure enough, it was a boy. His middle name is my grandfathers name. Our sweet Oliver Charlie is 4 now. Sometimes we will call him Ollie for short.

I want a unique name yet traditional, I wanted a strong meaning and a cute nn option.
It’s a traditional 1949’s name but it’s rarely used, my sons only one in 8 with his name around the globe. 
His name means: One who’s been on a long journey.
This meant so much because it took me over 10yrs to conceive. He was born three months early and spent three months fighting for his life in the NICU.

Picking out a boys name was hard for me so I told my husband he could pick it out. Every name reminded of some a-hole so I told my husband I can’t find a name I like. My husband came up with Presley, and I immediately thought of Elvis Presley and I loved it. He watches car videos on YouTube all day and he heard the name on one of the videos. A lot of people say it’s a girls name but I see it as gender neutral as my husband has a gender neutral name as well. My sons full name is Presley David Millen and I love it and wouldn’t change a thing no matter what anyone says.  When you find the right one you’ll know 💙😊

This was a STRUGGLE for my son’s dad and I. Lol. What we did was randomly text each other names we saw or heard or thought of. If we really liked a name and it wasn’t shot down immediately by the other, we’d bring it up again later for reconsideration. I suggested Thomas one day in a list of a few I texted him. He didn’t instantly hate it, I loved it, so I brought it up again a few days later. I said “Hey, I really want us to think about Thomas. Tommy is cute as a kid and Tom or Thomas is professional as an adult. If you like it, I really feel like this could be the one.” So we started calling my bump Tommy to see how it felt. Tommy is eight months old now and currently napping in the pack n play in the living room 😊
