Feeling defeated

I see a lot of you saying you sleep trained your baby and I wish I could say the same.. I tried extinction method at first and my son cried for an hour and half until I gave up then I decided to check on him often which made him more angry 😭 he doesn’t use the paci so he can’t soothe himself. How long did your babies cry for?
