I got my blood results back after intense itching for the past few days and it turns out I have cholestasis. I’m terrified because it’s so early and it usually doesn’t begin until the third trimester. I’m being referred to a high risk OB. My doctor right now does not seem overly concerned, and told me the only difference will be I’ll need to start taking Urso and I’ll probably have frequent stress tests later in my pregnancy. Also I’ll have to be induced at 37 weeks at the latest, but she told me not to worry because you’re still considered full term at that point. She was very reassuring but I’m still very scared. Does anyone have experience with cholestasis early in pregnancy?
