White bump on husbands tongue?

Ok so my husband has had this white bump on his tongue for AT LEAST 2 months, maybe longer. At first I though just a regular inflamed taste bud but I’ve never seen one last this long?!  He said it doesn’t hurt. Anyone know what it could be? Should I worry? Get it checked out?

He needs to be checked out ASAP.  I don't want to scare you, but if you need to light a fire under his ass to be seen by the Dr (my SO is like that too), that's one of the signs of oral cancer: "Symptoms include a sore that doesn't heal, a lump, or a white or red patch on the inside of the mouth."
Please have it checked out, 2 months is not a normal amount of time for something like that to not have healed.
