My 2 year old loves Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and yells it along with me when I read it lol. I wanted him to have books I loved and it’s fun to have him fall in love with the books I had as a kid. One of those is If you give a mouse a cookie.

We bought this spooky Goodnight Moon parody on a whim last year around Halloween at the grocery store and honestly it’s one of my favorites to read to my two year old - and a really well done parody! It follows the exact same rhyme scheme as Goodnight Moon but with a smidge more fun 😉 we read it all year around!

My husband says I have a problem with the number of children’s books we own. My daughters favorite is “Wherever you are, my love will find you” by Nancy Tillman. It is one of the many that I have memorized at this point.
The hungry caterpillar, the pigeon book series, princesses wear pants, and tomorrow I will be brave also make frequent appearances at bedtime!

Little Blue Truck! The original is the best but all of them in the series are good. My daughter is now 4 (still loves it) and has enjoyed them since like a year old. Highly recommend!

I have to add that the Salvation Army is a treasure trove of children’s books. I bought a set of hardcover Disney books for a quarter a piece (wound up with about 15 books). Kids books are so amazing. (I have a two year old boy and a daughter coming in November)
