Has anyone started their period?

I went to my 6 week check up and got cleared. He asked if i started my period. I have not. Ive been spotting Brown the last few days with some red discharge here and there. But he said he would start me on hormones in 2 weeks if I have not started. Ive never heard of that before.
 So basically wondering if anyone has started and did you spot before or what? 
- I am not breastfeeding.

That’s really odd to me he would want to do that. I took 6 month for my period to start with both of my last babies and my doctor wasn’t worried at all. I’d turn him down though, I’d let my body do it’s own thing.

I started my period 2 weeks ago, but that's because I've now gone back on the pill and it forced a period.

I have a 6 week old as well. Am no longer breast feeding. I had my period for about 5 days. Just ended 2 days ago !

I started mine right at 6 weeks PP basically, and I am breastfeeding. So, nothing's for sure. It's definitely odd to me he wants to start hormones so early. I would get a second opinion or just ask him to wait a few more weeks. A lot of women dont get a period for a few months PP whether they're breastfeeding or not.

A little update and probably tmi but oh well lol. 
I started my period late last night! 😂

I’m 6 weeks 5 days today. This last weekend I had a little brown spotting. Started the pill Sunday. Been bleeding a very little since then. Started my period today.. it’s real clotty 😬
