Induction On Call

I was scheduled an induction very early this morning, and was told they don’t have any rooms available when I called beforehand. I asked if we should stay at home since I didn’t know how it worked since this is my first pregnancy and the lady said you should still come in to wait. So I arrive there and then I have another lady tell us usually they call us and she doesn’t know when that would be. That was the frustrating part is wasting time to go over there even though we asked first.

How long do inductions usually get pushed back and can it take days? I understand women that are going into labor have first priority. I was just all excited for it and now kind of bummed.
