I’m finally getting around to telling my daughters birth story

I’m finally getting around to telling my daughters birth story. It’s a long one. I went in for my last OB appointment on the 23rd to schedule my induction for the 29th. My BP was a little elevated. They weren’t too worried. We go on with the appointment and I’m told I can try to be induced, but it will more than likely end in a c-section. I’m completely heart broken because I wanted a vaginal so bad and to go as long as I could without medication to help with the contractions. They come back in to check my blood pressure. It went up. My doctor comes in. Change of plans, you’re going to L&D and you might be having a baby tomorrow on the 24th. I was so overwhelmed. Well, I get to L&D, blood pressure is elevated, but not too bad. The nurse comes in and says it looks like you’re having a baby tomorrow your doctor will be in here in a few minutes to discuss your options. My protein levels were 1.04 I had to get her out as soon as possible. So, we decided for the c-section. Some may say I took the easy way out. I didn’t. I was told I could have died trying to give birth to her and she wouldn’t have lived either since she was a LGA baby (large for gestational age) My c-section went great. I was a little nauseous, but I pulled through. Our baby girl was born at 7:45 am on October 24th. She was eight pounds and one ounce, 20 inches long. She’s doing great, but mama not so much. I had to stay in the hospital for five days because I became severe anemic. I had to have an iron drip and three units of blood transfused. After I had that done I felt much better and I went home Tuesday afternoon. Not even two hours later my left foot swells up like it did when I was pregnant and had preeclampsia. I was alarmed, but didn’t think too much abaout it. Around 2:00 am I started feeling really dizzy and nauseous. I thought I was going to pass out. Well the night progresses and my foot gets worse and worse. My hospital called for a follow up that afternoon and I told her what was going on. She said I needed to go in because I could have a blood clot. I had a feeling I still had preeclampsia. I get to the hospital and my blood pressure was 143/95 which alarmed me because I’ve never had high blood pressure except for a couple times at my appointment. I get all the tests done whilst I’m getting my blood pressure checked every fifteen minutes. It just kept going up and up and up. The ER doctor comes in and very bluntly says “You’re developing eclampsia. It’s a good thing you came in tonight because if you wouldn’t you would have died in a couple of days.” Before they gave me a shot to stop my blood pressure from rising it was 199/89. I had to go to L&D to get admitted into postpartum. Here I am sitting in my hospital bed while getting the magnesium drip so it can save my life. I almost didn’t go into the ER last night. I thank Gid that I did. I knew something was wrong. I’m going to be okay though. I get off of the drip in about two hours. The real test is to see how I do without the drip. It makes you feel like shut, but my blood pressure has gotten better. It has been elevated at times, but nothing to crazy. Here’s my baby girl. She’s a week old today and I miss her so much. And my foot before I went to the hospital
