How long is this 4 month sleep regression supposed to last?

Question

She used to sleep about 10+ hour nights with one feeding in the middle of it.  Now she's waking up every 2 hours and after I take care of her I have to pump so I'm sleeping for just under 1 1/2 hour intervals.  I'm so exhausted.

From my understanding it's not really a phase, it's a whole new sleep cycle of a adult instead of baby sleep cycles which is why is messes with them so big. That's why sleep training or any form of it can't really be done until after four months because their cycles chance so drastically, but it does get better after about a month I've read 🤷

Does she fall asleep completely independently? that usually the key to getting out of the regression, whether you achieve it by sleep training or not
