Short breastfeeding sessions??

My babe is breastfeeding every two hours or so (1 week old) but sometimes he only eats for like 5-8 minutes. I do everything to take him up and he seems satisfied. Is this normal? Any advice?

Normal! As baby gets used to breastfeeding she’ll become an expert at getting the milk out quicker!

I have the same issue. I have an over supply of milk so sometimes baby gets enough in 5 min, burps and is satisfied for 2 hours! I was worried about it too but baby is gaining weight and wetting and stooling diapers  so as long as they’re satisfied, peeing and pooping and gaining then it’s fine !

This happened to me and now what I do is pump after she feeds and completely empty my breasts and give that to her after her next feeding. That way she is full and doesn’t need to feed for three hours.
