Almost needed a c section.
Woke up friday as if it was just another day. Got my 1 year old daughter up, changed and fed. Played for a bit until her nap around 10. I put her down and was deciding weather or not I should nap with her. (I'm into heartland so a new season was on and I've only just started and wanted to keep going). But I chose sleep!
My daughter woke up around 12. And as soon as I walked into her room, I felt water trickle down my leg. I stood there for a minute wondering if it was my water that broke. I guess I wasn't fully convinced. Then I took a few more steps, grabbed her from her crib and more leaked out.
I had my dad take me to the hospital and they got me in a room. Monitored me for an hour but didnt check to see if my water broke. About 3 hours later when theh do decide to check, I all of a sudden gush out so much water, j got the bed and my clothes soaked. And I didnt have my bags with me (my husband was coming by later so I told him to grab them then. Didnt want to bring everything if I was going to be sent home). A nurse then confirmed my water broke (even though she seen it) but was worried about something when she did. She got an ultrasound done right away and had said there is a hand in the way, but hoping it would move when the baby dropped a little lower.
Got checked into a room around 6pm and induced me since I wasn't having any contractions of my own. About around 2 am, a lady checked to see if I have progressed and felt the hand squeezing hers and tried to push it back. I honestly believe the pain I felt with her doing that, was twice as bad as a bad contraction during labour.... I yelled at her to stop but she kept going. she couldn't get the hand back far enough and had told me that it was looking like I needed a c section. But they waited a little longer. By the second time she tried, I had already been with an epidural for an hour so o felt absolutely no pain the second time around. And she was able to get head first. Which was a huge relief for me.
I slept all the way until I was ready to push!
I started pushing at 7:44 am and my little baby boy jacob was born at 7:45am november 2nd.
Took one big push!!
Hes such a handsome little one! Currently 3 days old!
